Your education, your way...

When you get a tutor with the LCP, you are in control of your studies.

  • You will be matched with a tutor who compliments your educational goals and personality.
  • You and your tutor will set a tutoring schedule that fits with your life.
  • You can chose the location you wish to meet at.
  • You will develop your own goals and timeline according to your needs

How it works

Once you have decided that you would like a tutor-

  1. Get in touch with our Volunteer Coordinator 208-883-2626, adult_literacy@moscow.com
  2. You'll discuss what you'd like in a tutor, and what you hope to get out of having a tutor.
  3. Attend initial meeting with both the Volunteer Coordinator and the new tutor. This usually takes about 1/2 hour, for introductions and schedule planning.
  4. Meet once a week, typically for 1 hr, with your tutor.
  5. Keep in touch with the Volunteer Coordinator as to how you are doing, and questions you may have, and any additional materials you may need.
